The New York Knicks head into the off-season full of optimism after making it to the second round of the Eastern Conference Playoffs for the second year in a row. The Knicks will have two picks in this year's NBA Draft and Jalen Brunson is still under contract giving the team every reason in the world to be optimistic.

The Knicks' top priority will likely be re-signing OG Anunoby, as he transformed the Knicks when he was healthy into a next-level defensive team. As one of the top free agents this off-season, Anunoby will likely command 35-40 million dollars creating potential salary cap issues for the Knicks especially, as they look to bring back Isaiah Hartenstein.

NBA Insider Brett Siegel of Clutch Points has hinted that the New York Knicks will prioritize OG Anunoby this off-season even if it means moving on from Julius Randle.

The Knicks trading Julius Randle would be a massive mistake even if keeping him means losing OG Anunoby. Randle is seemingly beloved by his teammates and while he's had ups and downs while in New York, Knicks fans are seemingly forgetting something.

After being spurned by Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving in a time where no one wanted to play for the Knicks Julius Randle came to New York and brought back Knicks basketball. Randle led the Knicks to the playoffs by himself, and has been named to three All-Star teams, two All-NBA teams, and won the most improved player award.

Where should the Knicks go this off-season?

The Knicks should absolutely do whatever it takes to re-sign OG Anunoby as this team, when healthy, looked like a serious contender to win the Eastern Conference. The Knicks do have a few pieces they could move on from if the team needs to lower the payroll. Mitchell Robinson could easily be a trade chip if the Knicks re-sign Isaiah Hartenstein as Robinson has been plagued with injuries throughout his career. The Knicks could also look to trade deadline acquisition Bojan Bogdanovic if the team needs to lower the salary total. The Knicks have an endless amount of moves they can make, but trading Julius Randle shouldn't be one of them.
