The New York Jets have been one of the most active teams on the free-agent market. They have signed Tyron Smith and John Simpson to solidify the offensive line and also traded for Morgan Moses.

They kept the positive momentum going on the offensive side when they agreed to terms with WR Mike Williams on a one-year deal that has a maximum value of $15 million.

The new-look Jets offense has serious potential if they can stay healthy.

Williams tore his ACL in Week 3 of the 2023 season and has been rehabbing since. The 2017 first-round pick met with reporters for the first time on Mar. 20 and gave a timeline on his recovery.

According to Zack Rosenblatt of the Athletic, Williams told the media he's 4 and a half months out of his ACL surgery and expects to be ready for Week 1.

Jets News: Mike Williams Expects to be Ready for Week 1

This is fantastic news for the Jets as they head into a pressure-filled campaign in 2024. Williams is the perfect compliment to Garrett Wilson.

The former Clemson standout stands at 6'4 and has a knack for pulling down those contested catches. Williams has notched 4,806 receiving yards with 31 touchdowns, including two seasons with at least 1,000 receiving yards.

This move shows that the Jets are all in for 2024 but they are still underdogs to win the AFC East. They are currently behind the Buffalo Bills and the Miami Dolphins at +260 to win the division. If you like these odds, head over to FanDuel Sportsbook and take advantage of your sign-up bonus.
