Heading into the upcoming NBA Draft, the New York Knicks hold both the 24th and 25th overall picks in the first round. The Knicks have made a habit out of trading their first-round picks in recent years, however, that should change this season.

The Knicks desperately need to build out the back half of the roster and with this draft class being seen as weak, the Knicks likely won't get much in return for their picks in a trade. Here is where I think the Knicks may go with their two first-round picks.

24th Overall Pick - Terrence Shannon Jr - Shooting Guard

This postseason, the Knicks struggled as they simply ran out of guards and wings that were rested and healthy. Finding solid guard and wing play at an affordable price is incredibly difficult as the position has become incredibly valuable. The issue may get even worse as OG Anunoby is a pending free agent the Knicks could lose this off-season.

Here, the Knicks get incredibly lucky that Terrence Shannon Jr slid down the draft boards, landing a potential superstar with the 24th overall pick. Shannon Jr was one of the best players in college basketball this past season but, he missed some time as he was suspended while dealing with serious charges which he was acquitted of.

Through five seasons of college basketball, Shannon Jr was a dynamic scorer scoring 23.0 points per game with 2.3 assists per game and 4.0 rebounds per game. Shannon Jr can also give the Knicks a boost as a three-point shooter as a career 34.7% three-point shooter. Solid wing play in the NBA is a massive asset to any team and landing Shannon Jr gives the Knicks both a trade asset for the future and a contributor in the short term.
