The New York Knicks' offseason is officially underway and it promises to be the most active we've seen from the Knicks in years. The Knicks will look to add to this team after falling short of the Eastern Conference Finals due in part to a lack of depth.

The Knicks also have a few internal issues to deal with, starting with their star Jalen Brunson. The 2024-25 season could be the last year on Brunson's deal as he'll only have a player option remaining which he'd likely turn down.

Seemingly, the Knicks have nothing to worry about in terms of keeping Brunson as there are significant reports of an extension to come early this off-season.

If the reports are true then this off-season is off to an incredible start for the New York Knicks. Not only would the team get Brunson back for four additional years but they'd be getting him on a massive hometown discount.

This postseason showed that Brunson is one of the best players in all of basketball as he was the best player all postseason. Despite his success, Brunson is taking a deal that will help the Knicks in building a championship caliber roster around him.

The Knicks will likely be massive players this off-season as they'll look to bring in a third star alongside Julius Randle and Brunson. The biggest name that will hit free agency is Paul George who the Knicks have long been interested in adding. Signing George would give the Knicks a veteran wing to replace OG Anunoby and could help Jalen Brunson in no longer facing double and triple teams.

New York Knicks better make a swing this off-season

The Knicks are finally an appealing destination for some of the league's best players and it's time that Leon Rose cashes in. The Knicks have two first-round picks in this drat and enough cap space to make nearly any move happen. After falling short due to a lack of depth, if the Knicks don't address depth while adding capable high end scorers then this off-season will be a massive disappointment after such a promising year.
