Giants Veteran Player Makes Plea for Team to Sign Bryce Huff
The Giants need to make some meaningful additions in the offseason to compete with the Philadelphia Eagles and the Dallas Cowboys in 2024.
Rolling into free agency, the Giants have $38.2 million in salary cap and have the funds to be aggressive. It has been reported the Eagles will heavily pursue edge rusher Bryce Huff when free agency opens up but guard Justin Pugh wants the Giants to make that push for Huff as well.
Giants Rumors: Justin Pugh Would Like NY to Snag Bryce Huff
Although Pugh will be a free agent, it sounds like he will be returning to New York in 2024 the way he wants the G-Men to pursue Huff.
The Giants desperately need another pass-rusher opposite Kayvon Thibodeaux, who had a team-high 11.5 sacks in 2023.
Like Pugh said, Huff wouldn't have to move around much if he signed with the Giants because he's been with the New York Jets since 2020.
Huff is a bendy edge rusher and is just getting into the prime of his career. He came into the league as a UDFA from the University of Memphis and has gotten better every year.
In 2023, the 25-year-old finished with a career-high 10 sacks along with 29 total tackles and that was in a limited role. The trajectory of Huff is pointing up and the Giants would be smart to go after him.
The New York Giants need to ace this offseason to have a legit shot to win the NFC East. According to FanDuel Sportsbook, the Giants are +1000 underdogs to win the division. If you want to take lock-in of these odds, head over to FanDuel Sportsbook and claim your sign-up bonus.
