The New York Giants head into the offseason with some questions to answer regarding their roster. Things didn't go too well in the Big Apple in 2023 after an exciting 2022 campaign. New York went 6-11 and failed to reach the postseason.

They now roll into the offseason with $38 million in cap space according to Spotrac. That number could certainly rise with some cuts and contract restructures. General manager Joe Schoen and head coach Brian Daboll will have their work cut out for them.

Bryce Huff Named "Best Fit" for Giants

The Giants could use a jolt of energy along their defensive line to help generate pressure. Last season, they finished the year tied for 28th in the NFL in team sacks (34). Defensive end Kayvon Thibodeaux led the team in sacks (11.5) but the next-highest player on the squad had 4.5.

ESPN's Matt Bowen listed the Giants as the best fit for edge Bryce Huff. If the Giants did snag Huff, they would be poaching him from their cross-town rival Jets. The Memphis product has developed into one of the best pure pass rushers in the game.

Huff has a lightning-quick get-off and gets into the backfield consistently. In 2023, the 25-year-old produced a team-high 10 sacks and ranked eighth in the NFL in pass-rush win rate (21.8%). The potential addition of Huff would give the Giants a formidable duo with Thibodeaux to cause havoc in the backfield.

The Giants have shown their ability to reach the postseason under Daboll and Schoen. If they make some solid additions during the offseason, they could be a dark horse to make the playoffs.
