Giants Sign Former Third-Round Wide Receiver
By Ryan Amick
The New York Giants have signed former Steelers wide receiver Miles Boykin, the team announced on Tuesday. Standing at 6 foot 4, Boykin is a towering wideout who gives New York some size in an otherwise small wide receiver room.
Drafted in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft by the Ravens, Boykin spent his first three seasons in Baltimore. The Notre Dame product amassed 464 yards and seven touchdowns during his time with the Ravens. Despite a limited amount of targets, Boykin excelled at stretching the field and made some pretty impressive catches when given the chance.
Following his release in 2022, Boykin signed with the AFC North rival Steelers. While in Pittsburgh, he received limited offensive snaps and mainly contributed on special teams, where he registered 15 tackles on kick and punt returns. Offensively, he only amassed five catches, 28 yards, and no touchdowns for the Steelers in 33 games.
Boykin figures to have a similar role with the Giants, but given his staggering size, he could work himself into New York's offense as a red-zone threat.
Despite the offseason additions, the New York Giants will begin the season as an underdog in the NFC East. They are currently +900 to win the division on FanDuel Sportsbook and will need to nail their draft decisions to have a chance to be competitive against the likes of the Cowboys and the Eagles.
