The NFL Draft is two months away. Teams around the league will have the opportunity to alter their franchises for the better and bring in some talented players. The Giants own the No. 6 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft and could be in many different directions with that selection.

In May 2023, the Giants extended quarterback Daniel Jones to a four-year deal worth $160 million. Unfortunately, Jones tore his ACL last season in November and missed the entire year.

The combination of injuries and his play on the field has some fans looking for his replacement. ESPN's Jordan Raanan revealed some interesting information regarding the team's thought process about the quarterbacks in this upcoming NFL Draft.

New York Giants Open to Moving Up in the Draft

Raanan said, "You have Daniel Jones now, three years [and] three injuries. Two pretty serious neck injuries and he tore his ACL last year and he’s still rehabbing from that. When you’re looking at it from the Giants’ perspective, are general manager Joe Schoen and coach Brian Daboll willing to risk their professional careers with a quarterback with that injury history?”

He then added, "I’ve been told by multiple sources that if the situation presented itself correctly the Giants would, at least, be seriously willing to look at the quarterback position [in the draft].”

The NFL Draft has some highly regarded quarterback prospects like Caleb Williams, Drake Maye, and Jayden Daniels, who have been mocked to go in the Top 5 by multiple draft experts.

The Giants are heading into a pivotal Year 3 in the Brian Daboll and Joe Schoen era. They might not want to roll with a 26-year signal caller with injury concerns and who they didn't draft.

They could hand-select their quarterback and have someone new under center in 2024. Who knows if this will happen but the G-Men are willing to make the jump if the right opportunity presents itself.
