Following Sunday afternoon's 21-18 loss to the Washington Commanders, Graham Gano is expected to miss some time due to a hamstring injury per Brian Daboll. The New York Giants failed to convert two two-point conversations on Sunday after Gano left the game injuring his hamstring on the opening kickoff.

To put the cherry on top of a disastrous start to the Giants' 100th season, the team placed Gunner Olszewski on the injured reserve on Saturday, leaving an open roster spot, but they opted to bring only 52 players to Washington.

Gano had been dealing with a groin injury heading into Sunday, which quickly spiraled out of control after injuring his hamstring and leaving the Giants without a kicker for the entirety of the game.

Brian Daboll mentioned that they felt that Gano was going to be good to play even with groin issues throughout the week, but still a questionable decision to not bring an emergency kicker with them. Now the Giants face another 0-2 start for the sixth time in eight years, with a daunting schedule ahead.

Now with Gano expected to miss time, the Giants will be looking into a small basket of available kickers. In 2023, when Gano underwent knee surgery, 11-year veteran Randy Bullock was added and played the final six games of the season. Bullock is currently available and can be assumed that he will be the leading candidate to be the Giants' kicker heading into week 3.

On Monday, the Giants hosted a handful of kickers for workouts that included Randy Bullock, per Mike Garafolo. The remaining participants in the workout were Tanner Brown (Oklahoma State), Zane Gonzalez (Arizona State), and Patterson Riley (Memphis).
