Draft week is officially upon us and all 32 teams will feel that they've officially gotten players that will shape their team's future. The Jets hold the tenth pick in the draft leaving them in a weird spot as the top three receivers could come off the board before the Jets selection while they could be a prime trade candidate either up or down the draft board. A solid draft could make the Jets serious contenders in the AFC as long as Aaron Rodgers stays healthy.

10th Overall Pick: Rome Odunze - Washington

If both Rome Odunze and Brock Bowers are on the board when the Jets are on the clock at ten it'll be a tough decision for Joe Douglas, but it appears the team would prefer a wide receiver. The Jets land Rome Odunze here, and while he's the third receiver to come off the board he's talented enough to be the wide receiver one in most draft classes.

The Jets would be pairing Rome Odunze long term with Garrett Wilson on the outside giving Aaron Rodgers two incredible young pass catchers while setting a foundation for when Rodgers eventually retires. The Jets would have gone from having one capable receiver to three wide receiver ones in one offseason.

In Odunze the Jets are getting by far the best contested catch receiver in the Draft and it's not really close. The Jets can use him in a variety of ways as he's been successful in the slot, on the outside, on jet sweeps, and as a returner. In addition to everything Odunze brings as a receiver, he'll provide the Jets with outstanding blocking on the outside making him the complete package.
