6 Realistic Trade Packages the Giants Could Receive for the No. 6 Pick
Scenario 3: Steelers Move Up to Land a Top Receiver
Here the Steelers after trading away Diontae Johnson trade up for a star receiver moving up to the sixth pick. The Giants trade away the sixth overall pick in exchange for the 20th overall pick, 51st overall pick, 84th overall pick, 119th overall pick, and the Steelers 2025 Second Round Pick.
The Draft value chart has the Giants giving up 1600 points while receiving 1566 points in 2024 and anywhere from 270 to 580 points in 2025 depending on where the Steelers second round pick ends up in 2025.
The Giants would end up landing Kool-Aid McKinstry with the 20th overall pick creating a dominant tandem with Deonte Banks. They'd then use the 51st pick to land a receiver in South Carolina's Xavier Leggette who'd be a first-rounder if not for such a loaded class. The 84th pick would be used to plug the hole at safety caused by Xavier Mckinney leaving by picking Javon Bullard. The 119th pick could give the Giants a long-term solution on the offensive line with Brandon Coleman a highly touted interior offensive lineman.
The downside of this trade is the Giants slide down to the 20th pick in what's seen as a very top-heavy draft class. The benefit, however, is the Giants go from having three top-100 picks to five allowing the team to add tons of talent in the middle of the draft. If the Giants were to make a trade one like this would make a ton of sense as they add not only tons of players in this draft, but they get a second-rounder they can use to trade up in next year's class.
