While the Giants are a possible trade up candidate they also may be in play as a team that moves down in this draft.

In this scenario, the Jets call the Giants asking to swap first rounders so the Jets can land a top-tier weapon for Aaron Rodgers. The Giants would trade the sixth overall pick to the Jets receiving the 10th overall pick, 72nd overall pick, and the 111th overall pick.

The Draft Value chart has the Giants giving up 1600 points while the Jets trade away 1602 points, nearly a perfectly balanced trade.

The Giants would then use the tenth overall pick on Brock Bowers adding a massive target to their offense. They'd use the 72nd pick on Michael Penix Jr or Bo Nix depending on which quarterback they'd believe in long-term. They'd finally land a receiver in Florida State's Johnny Wilson giving the quarterbacks a massive target.

This trade would work for the Giants in a few ways as they still land a blue chip player despite trading down. They also land another top 100 pick and one outside the top 100 bringing their total picks to eight rather than six. This trade's biggest downside is that the Giants are likely targeting the same players as the Jets making it hard to envision the team passing up on the chance to add one of the top wide receivers. This trade only happens if either the Giants don't like the receivers or the Jets offer too much for Joe Schoen to turn down.
