2. Carl Lawson, DL
Carl Lawson has had quite the fall from grace. The ex-Auburn Tiger showed promise in his first season with the Jets in 2022, racking up 33 tackles, 7.0 sacks, and a forced fumble across 17 starts.
Fast forward to 2023 and Lawson has become an afterthought. The 28-year-old has only played six games thus far and has seen his defensive snap share go from 58% last year to 24% this time around. He hasn't done much with his sparse playing time, either, recording just five tackles.
Considering how Lawson is also a free agent this offseason, I doubt he's back for the 2024 campaign. It looks like his last campaign was just an anomaly and chances are that New York can get similar production on a cheaper deal through the draft in April.
