3: PF Robert Covington

Robert Covington may have been overlooked by the Philadelphia 76ers, with stars like Tyrese Maxey and Joel Embiid last season and now Paul George joining the team. He played a significant role in Philly's rotation when Embiid was injured. While Covington may not be an elite power forward, he could still help a contender's bench and is an excellent three-point shooter and defender.

Last season, Covington averaged 4.4 points, 3.3 rebounds, 0.8 assists, and shot 43.9 percent from the field. The 33-year-old also had a 35.4 percent from three-point range and is a lifetime 36.2 percent shooter from behind the arc. Covington is a wing with size who can defend and hit open shots off the bench. He remains a good option and is a player several teams could use.

2: PF Davis Bertans

The Charlotte Hornets waived Davis Bertans while playing with the Latvian men's national basketball team in the 2024 Olympics in Paris. The news didn't affect Bertans at the moment as the veteran was more focused on representing his country, stating that the only jersey he wanted to wear was Latvia and that he was determined to help them bring home a medal.

Now that the Olympics have concluded, Bertans will have to shift gears and begin thinking about where his next home will be in the United States. The New York Knicks could pursue the 31-year-old, who is entering his 11th season in the NBA. He has played with the San Antonio Spurs, Washington Wizards, Dallas Mavericks, Oklahoma City Thunder, and most recently the Charlotte Hornets.

Last season, Bertans averaged 7.7 points, 2.4 rebounds, 0.9 assists, and shot 42.2 percent from the field. The veteran also shot 37.5 percent from three-point range. Bertans could be a solid option for the Knicks splitting time with Achiuwa behind Julius Randle or as Mitchell Robinson's backup. He played a big role with the Hornets while Mark Williams was sidelined with an injury.
