2. Jordan Groshans

Third baseman Jordan Groshans was recently claimed on waivers from the Miami Marlins. Groshans was originally a highly talented prospect coming out of high school, where he was selected 12th overall by the Toronto Blue Jays.

Groshans was sent to the Triple-A when he was in Miami during the 2023 campaign. He had trouble being productive on the offensive end, notching .243/.339/.330 slash line over 528 trips at the plate. He didn't make much of an impact when at the dish.

The 24-year-old only smashed six home runs, 20 doubles, and one triple. He may need more time in the minors to develop his skills but New York doesn't have time for him to develop. They need players who are ready to make an impact now.
