Despite their loss, New York is still in a good position in the standings. They just trail the Baltimore Orioles by half a game for first place. In addition, the team is also 7-3 in their last 10 games. Right now, it feels good to be a Yankees fan by the way that things are trending at the moment.

Without question, it feels like Juan Soto is already an MVP candidate after the recent performance he has put on display against the Astros.. Entering the series Soto was slashing .577/.633/.846 along with 1.479 OPS and 9 RBIs. He also now leads the American League in a ton of categories, inclduing hits, RBI, OPTS and wRC+. He is worth every penny this year thus far. It seems like the Yankees have found their answer to beat their Kryptonite.
