2. Continue adding blue chip players

When you look at the Giants' roster compared to some of their opponents, what stands out is a lack of "blue chip" players. The Giants have had a few in Andrew Thomas, Dexter Lawrence, and Saquon Barkley but, compared to division rivals like the Eagles three has been far fewer than what the Giants face. While quarterbacks rule the league the teams you see alive late in the playoffs have multiple All-Pro caliber players on both sides of the football something you can't say about the Giants.

This season saw the departure of one of the Giants' blue chip players as Saquon Barkley left for the Eagles but, the Giants added on at a position of higher value with their trade for Brian Burns.

The Giants need to continue to add blue chip players if they want to return to their status as a contender. Adding a receiver of Tee Higgins or Brandon Aiyuk's caliber would give the Giants a talent at receiver that the team has lacked since trading away Odell Beckham Jr. The offense can truly open up when you add a top tier receiver on the outside.

The addition of a top-tier receiver would allow the Giants to use the sixth pick in the NFL Draft on the best player available. This could allow the Giants to draft a long-term option at right tackle, an edge rusher, a cornerback, or even a tight end of Brock Bowers caliber. The Giants need to continue to build up roster and adding a legit receiver would be the first step in the right direction.
