The run that Matt Rempe has far overshadowed fellow rookie Adam Edstrom thus far despite the above-average play of Edstrom. In eight games Edstrom has scored twice with a +2 plus-minus in around eight minutes of ice time per game.

While it's possible that Edstrom is used in a deal to acquire a top-six caliber winger, it's more than likely he's headed back to Hartford if the team acquires a wing or two. If however, the Rangers only acquire one wing, there's certainly an argument for keeping Edstrom on the roster over a player like Matt Rempe.

Thus far Edstrom has filled in nicely as a fourth-line winger. His size and physical presence have brought a much appreciated edge to the bottom six as he provides nightmares for opponents while forechecking.
