2. Azeez Ojulari

The former second-round pick had an excellent rookie season in 2021 that gave Giants fans hope that they found a starter at linebacker. However, the fans might have been too quick to crown the former Georgia Bulldogs standout.

Ojulari was a non-factor in Wink Martindale’s defense, which is hard to fathom as he loves to dial up the pressure.

The 23-year-old linebacker only had 16 combined tackles, seven quarterback hits, three tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, and a fumble recovery in 11 games (seven starts) this season.

If Ojulari hadn’t been hampered by an ankle injury, he might’ve had better numbers this season. However, injuries have doomed the former Georgia Bulldog standout over the last two seasons, as he’s only played in 18 out of a possible 34 games.

Ojulari has one year left on his rookie contract to prove he can be a reliable pass rusher off the edge for the Giants next season. We don’t know who will be the Giants' next defensive coordinator but Ojulari must be ready in training camp and hopefully stay healthy.
