2. Connor McGovern, C

As I alluded to earlier, the Jets have significantly improved the offensive line but injuries are going to happen and teams need to fortify their depth.

Connor McGovern would definitely be a good addition along the interior of the line. He has experience playing both center and guard, which is valuable.

Since 2020, McGovern has started 55 games for the Jets, showcasing the skill to step in and be a productive presense.

He has the quickness to climb to the second level and can hold his own in pass protection.

Aaron Rodgers, 40, will be turning 41 turning the 2024 season and New York needs to make sure they have enough capable linemen upfront to keep him upright.

1. Ashtyn Davis, S

New York decided to retain Chuck Clark on a one-year deal but let Jordan Whitehead walk.

Clark and Tony Adams are the only two safeties on the roster and the Jets should entertain bringing back Ashtyn Davis.

Davis is a very fast and athletic playmaker on the backend. He has found his way to the football and also gave the Jets a consistent special teams player.

New York needs a third safety on the squad and Davis would fit in that role perfectly. In four seasons with the team, the California product had 140 total tackles, six interceptions, four forced fumbles, and four fumble recoveries.

This would be a low-cost signing for New York and they should really think about bringing him back.

Regardless if they add any of these guys to the team, the Jets will likely start the season as an underdog to win the AFC East. They are currently behind the Buffalo Bills and the Miami Dolphins at +260 to win the division.
