3 Games on Giants Schedule That Will Lead to Culture Change
Week 10: Carolina Panthers - Germany
Winnable. Winnable. Winnable.
This game comes right before the bye week. The Giants need to win this one, head into the bye week motivated, and come back out for the back end of the season. Much like the 2022-23 season, the Giants need to win games early on. After the bye week, the schedule is very tough. A couple of wins here and there will help if before the bye week, wins start to pile. As wins start to pile up early, who knows? The momentum could carry into those post-bye week games.
This is important in sending a message as well. If the Giants want to change the losing reputation they have, they need to dominate a game like this. It’s a game that needs to be fully controlled by the Giants from start to finish. The Panthers are not a very good team right now. This needs to be a dominating win on all three aspects of the ball.
It’s not a surprise to say the Panthers are a beatable opponent. They were the worst team in the NFL last year, and although they will improve, these are the types of games the Giants have to win.
Against an undersized, second-year QB at the helm, Dex, Burns, and Kayvon have to show up by getting to him early and rattling him. This is Burns's “revenge” game too, so he should have a big game. Again, to load up these wins on the front end of the schedule is huge, so wins against teams like the Panthers are needed.
A dominant win here would lead right into the bye week with an inspired team. A loss and the bye week just becomes a mini-vacation in the midst of a possible losing season. Head into the bye week with momentum on our side, rest up, and get ready for the backend of our season. A win here would bode well in playoff standings towards the end of the year, as well as carry that momentum to the Buccaneers game, a game that could have massive playoff implications.
Win the winnable games, grind for the toss-ups.
