2. New York Snags A Big-Time Playmaker with the No. 6 Overall Pick

The Giants certainly need to upgrade the pass-catchers on the outside. They were one of the worst passing attacks in 2023, ranking 31st in pass offense (169.8). New York traded for Darren Waller in March 2023 to help improve the aerial attack, but that never materialized.

Waller was limited to 12 games due to multiple hamstring strains. Receiver Darius Slayton was New York's leading weapon in 2023, logging 50 receptions for 770 yards and four scores. No other wide receiver had more than 525 yards on the year.

With that being said, New York will have their choice in selecting a game-changing pass catcher with the No. 6 overall pick. Malik Nabers or Rome Odunze will likely be available when the Giants are on the clock.

Nabers is an explosive and dynamic playmaker. The LSU product explodes off the line of the scrimmage and owns the speed to separate from defenders downfield. In 2023, he logged 89 catches for 1,569 and 14 touchdowns. He also led the FBS with 17 catches of 30-plus yards.

Odunze (6'3) is a big, athletic receiver with exceptional hands. The Washington product is a clean route runner but excels in contested catch situations. He tracks the ball so naturally downfield. In 2023, Odunze had 92 catches for 1,640 yards and 13 touchdowns.

Either Nabers or Odunze would dramatically improve the Giants' passing game. And New York will likely have their choice of the two at No. 6.
