9. Yankees Extend Gleyber Torres During The Season

Gleyber Torres is a fan favorite, as we all know, and he was the Yanks' most consistent hitter during the injury-plagued 23 season. Unfortunately, this will be Torres last year in pinstripes before he hits free agency once the 2024 season concludes. Letting Torres walk would probably be the biggest mistake the Yankees have made in recent years. Here I have them extending him for five years, $70 million. That kind of deal should get the job done in securing their second baseman for the long-term future.

10. Anthony Volpe Improves Offensively

Things seemed tough for the rookie Anthony Volpe last season. It was an up and down year with him on the offensive side. He was putting a show on the base paths as well as the defensive ends earning himself Gold Glove honors. This spring there have been some signs of improvement with the bat. Part of him showing some improvement is thanks to him showing some mechanic changes to his swing. He's been getting back to showing more aggression too. That is something that is going to be factor if he wants to improve.
