Who else the Giants SHOULD’VE signed in 2020 and Conclusion.

1. Bryan Bulaga: player rating 89

My offer: about $7,000,000

Actually signed for: $10,000,000

I was a little off the mark on this one but he was a bit overpaid. His ACTUAL fair market value at an 89 rating is $6,800,000. I would have offered him the $7,000,000 just to sure him up. Hopefully, this salary offer and the opportunity of New York’s big lights would have been enough to rope him in. At 30 years old he has a few solid years left in him and would sure up the Giants right tackle spot.

2. Rodney Hudson: player rating 92

My offer: $11,300,000

Actually signed for: $11,250,000

Well! To “coin a phrase” I was “right on the money” with this one (you see what I did there?). Rodney is also 30 years old and is one of the top Centers in the league.

He would not only be a star for us at Center, but (from right to left) with a line of Bulaga, Zeitler, Hudson, Hernandez, and Solder (or actually Norwell, I would’ve tried to sure that deal up!), the Giants offensive line would now be one of the best in the NFL.

CONCLUSION

This of course is all 20/20 right now, but what I have written here is the way I would’ve done it. And instead of signing Blake Martinez at all, instead, the Giants would probably have Isaiah Simmons at Linebacker.

The Offensive Line would be VASTLY improved and that would help in so many ways. Besides the fact that the Running Backs would get better blocking and the Quarterback would have more time to throw, the defense would get to the Quarterback less often.

If the Giants were to be stuck with Jones after all of this, then you would imagine with a better O-line he would fumble less. Thus, keeping the Giants Defense off of the field and letting them rest more to be more efficient late in games.

After all is said and done, on paper, the Giants are possibly a playoff team and still have almost $11,000,000 left free in salary cap space! Throw that around a bit to maybe sure up Bulaga and Bradberry (if he wouldn’t sign for $6.5M) and you would still be left with about $8,000,000!

I just want to thank you all for joining me in this incredible and detailed ride of analyzing and improving the Giants offseason. Hopefully, you have become a fan of my writing and will continue to read my contribution efforts to FanSided. Any thoughts, suggestions or comments are welcome. Keep it clean, please. Thank you again
