The New York Yankees are tied for the highest winning percentage in Major League Baseball, and this week they will play three games against the team that gave them half their losses.

My predicted record to this point: 17-5

Yankees’ actual record to this point: 16-6

The New York Yankees are currently on a six-game win streak after dropping five of seven, three of which were to the Tampa Bay Rays. Now, the Yankees will be tasked with taking on the Rays once again who are currently second in the American League East.

After sweeping the Red Sox for the second time this season (seven games overall) the Yankees are looking strong. However, they’re doing it without three of their best players; Aaron Judge, DJ LeMahieu, and Giancarlo Stanton.

All three are currently on the injured list and none of the three will return this week against Tampa Bay. That being said, players like Tyler Wade, Clint Frazier, and Mike Ford have been tasked with playing every day, and they’re filling their roles surprisingly well.

Now, the Yankees will play the Rays, a team they currently hold a record of 1-3 against. So the question is; can the Yankees continue their six-game win streak and win two, or maybe even three games against the Rays?

Tampa Bay sits with a record of 14-9 and are 9-1 in their last 10 compared to the Yankees’ record of 7-3. Not only are both teams playing great baseball, but their best pitchers will be taking the bump this week which will surely make for a heck of a series.

So without further ado, let’s take a look at the Yankees vs. Rays series and give our predictions for how it might play out.
