The 2020 MLB Season is going to be unlike any other, it’s 60 games in 67 days, and believe it or not, this might help the New York Yankees.

The 2020 MLB Season is going to be more taxing on players than any season before. With 60 games in 67 days, days off are few and far between and because of it, players are going to get more off days on game days than they would in a typical season.

Playing 60 games in 67 days is like playing a typical 162 game season in about 180-181 days. In 2019, the New York Yankees played their 162 game regular season schedule over 185 days, so it’s a little more than the current rest period, but still pretty similar.

Major League Baseball players are used to getting a rest day every week or so, and now the Yankees are going to have a game in 16-straight days at one point this season. This being said, we are going to see star players sit out more games than you would expect in a 162-game season,

Believe it or not, this will actually benefit the Yankees more so than most other teams. The Yankees are one of the deepest, if not THE deepest team in Major League Baseball, and this will play into their benefit during the 2020 season.

Here is what I believe the Yankees’ depth chart will look like this season:
