New York Giants Defense vs. Chicago Bears Offense

The Giants’ defense looks a lot different going into the 2020 season, but the Bears’ offense might look a lot different as well. It is because of both of these things, that this matchup will be so intriguing.

In 2019, the Giants had one of the worst secondaries in the NFL, but in 2020 that could be much different. With the additions of James Bradberry and Xavier McKinney, the Giants secondary will be much better heading into their second game in two years against the Bears.

As for the Bears; their offense could look much different as well. Due to the lackluster play of Mitch Trubisky in 2019, and the acquisition of Nick Foles, nobody knows who will be under center in Chicago.

In addition to potentially making a change at quarterback, the Bears also added tight end Jimmy Graham and wide receiver Ted Ginn jr., two weapons who will undoubtedly make a big impact for Chicago in 2020.

The question is, how will the Giants’ defense fare against them?

In 2019, the Giants defense held their own, despite eventually losing the game. The G-Men held the Bears to only 335 yards of total offense, picked Mitch Trubisky off twice, and forced a fumble (that the Bears recovered) as well while holding the Bears to only 19 points.

This being said, the Giants’ defense was very respectable in week 12 against the Bears, and with the addition of several new defensive players, they might do an even better job in week two.

So with all that being said, what will be the final outcome of the week two matchup between the Chicago Bears and New York Giants?
