Week 13- Las Vegas Raiders at New York Jets- Sunday, 12/6/20 @1:00 PM (CBS)

For the second straight year, the now Las Vegas Raiders will be flying across the country to take on the Jets. This time, the flight will be at least a little shorter. Last season, the Raiders had a roller-coaster-like year that ended in disappointment.

The Raiders started the year playing up and down football, then in weeks 10 and 11, they picked up two big wins against the Chargers and Bengals.

Heading into week 12, they were penciled into the 6th seed in the playoffs with a 6-4 record. Then they visited the Jets and came out with their worst performance of the year in a 34-3 loss. In the following weeks, the Raiders gave up 40 points to Kansas City and 42 to Tennessee as the season spiraled out of control. The team ended the season at 7-9.

This offseason, the Raiders officially moved to Las Vegas to play in Allegiant Stadium. With this, the team made many additions during free agency with some very experienced veterans.

The Raiders added Jason Witten, Damarious Randall, Maliek Collins, Cory Littleton, Jeff Heath, among many other vets. With two picks in the first round, the Raiders added two more skilled position players. They took speedster Henry Ruggs III out of Alabama, as well as former Buckeye, Damon Arnette.

The Jets will be welcoming a new-look Raiders team this time around. Last season, the Jets were hitting their stride and caught the Raiders at their worst point of the season. It didn’t help that the game was a 1:00 start on the east coast, which causes some west coast teams to come out sluggish. These teams are closer on paper than that score suggests, and with some of the new additions, this Jets teams will have their hands full.
