Week 14 vs. the Arizona Cardinals

The Giants and Cardinals are set to face off for the second consecutive season, and for the second consecutive season, it will be at Metlife Stadium. In last year’s matchup, the Giants failed to get the job done, losing 27-21 after never holding a lead on a rainy Sunday in October.

The Cardinals are a team that has the potential to be VERY dangerous in 2020 after making a couple moves both during the 2019 season and in the offseason following.

After adding Kenyan Drake through a trade last year, the Cardinals had two very impressive running backs, which meant one of them would likely be traded away, and it wasn’t going to be the one they just traded for.

That being said, the Cardinals traded David Johnson, and what they got in return made it a heck of a deal.

With the addition of DeAndre Hopkins, the Cardinals offense now consists of Kyler Murray at quarterback (2019 Offensive Rookie of the Year), Kenyan Drake at running back (817 rushing yards and eight rushing touchdowns in 10 starts in 2019), DeAndre Hopkins at wide receiver (4,115 yards and 31 touchdowns over the past three seasons) and Larry Fitzgerald, also at wide receiver (804 yards and four touchdowns in 2019).

All this being said, the Giants vs. Cardinals matchup in 2020 is going to be MUCH different than it was in 2019.

The Giants’ biggest problem against Arizona in their 2019 matchup was stopping the rush as they allowed Chase Edmonds and the Cardinals to rush for 156 yards and three touchdowns, while only throwing for 104 yards and zero touchdowns. With the addition of Hopkins, the G-Men have a different set of problems to face.
