New York Yankees: What if Aaron Judge and Pete Alonso swapped teams
By Mark Morales
Goodbye Judge’s Chambers, hello Pete’s Polar Bear Plunge?
Just a few weeks into Judge’s rookie season, the New York Yankees transformed three rows of section 104 in right field into “The Judge’s Chambers.” Before every home game, the Yankees would select fans at random to sit in the special seats. They received a judge’s robe and wig to put on during the game and also received a foam gavel to swing around.
What if the Yankees decided to incorporate a type of Polar Bear Plunge into their stadium, the same way they built the Judge’s Chambers.
Imagine a small pool at Yankee Stadium, just like the one at Chase Field in Arizona. The Yankees call it “Pete’s Polar Bear Plunge.” Before each home game, some fans get selected at random to participate in the plunge. Instead of being given robes, wigs, and gavels, you’re given Alonso themed bathing suits and towels.

At some point throughout the game, the fans that were selected get to jump into the pool. In the warmer months, the water would be cold, and in the colder months, the water would be warm. I’m keeping the original Polar Bear Plunge idea.
That’s a Wrap!
Regardless of who’s on the New York Yankees or Mets, Judge and Alonso are both franchise players. Although they play different positions and have different skill sets, they do share one significant thing in common. They are both tremendous leaders and are team-first guys. Great role models to fans of all ages, both appear to be their respective teams’ future captains.
