Round 3, 86th overall

After round two, it gets harder and harder to predict who goes where. Of the 22 mock drafts used, 17 of them went this far. Due to several deep positions, the Buffalo Bills could get a steal in the third round.

If Beane doesn’t go with an edge rusher in the second round, he almost has to take one in the third. There are several good candidates here but obviously not of the quality he could get with the 54th pick. Darrell Taylor from the University of Tennessee led all players in the third round with three selections.

Taylor has an NFL ready physique that NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein wrote is “chiseled out of granite.” He possesses the tools to be a productive NFL pass rusher but needs to learn which ones to use and when to use them.

More from Buffalo Bills

In second place is the only other player to get multiple third round hits (2), Notre Dame cornerback Troy Pride Jr. A converted receiver, Pride is still learning the corner position. He has tremendous speed (4.4 second, 40-yard dash) and excellent athleticism. Although raw, his instincts are good, and he’s not afraid to step up and put a hit on someone.

"Pride is a tremendous athlete with all of the measurables scouts look for in a defensive back. He is still raw given that he came to Notre Dame playing receiver in high school primarily. His elite speed and athleticism give Pride a high ceiling. – Dante Pryor, Saturday Blitz."
