Tom Brady’s time with New England Patriots has come to end as he reportedly has signed a deal with Tampa Bay Buccaneers. With that being said here is how Tom Brady has broken my heart over the years as a New York Jets fan.

Dear Tom Brady,

Wow. I can not believe this day has finally come. I have to admit I never thought I would see you leave the NFL let alone the AFC East. You have tortured me my entire life, every football season constantly winning and making a mockery of not just the New York Jets but the entire NFL.

I can not tell you how many times I have uttered the words “I hate Tom Brady” but today all I can say is thank you. Thank you for finally giving someone else a chance to win the AFC East. It is going to be so fun to watch Sam Darnold, Josh Allen and whoever the Dolphins draft battle it out over the next few years.

I always picked the Patriots to win the Super Bowl at the beginning of each season, 90 percent of the reason I did that was because of you. I was absolutely shocked when you lost to the Titans in the Wild Card Round of the playoffs. It was something I’d ever watch with my own two eyes.

Every time the New York Jets took on the Pats I knew it was going to be a good game. That’s all I wanted out of any football season was for my Gang Green to beat the Patriots once. It rarely happened but when it did happen, it felt sweet. I had the privilege of watching two of these games live and both time the Jets fell short, leaving me with a sour taste in my mouth. I would once again utter in frustration, “I hate Tom Brady”

I’ll Never forget in 2015 during the Fitzmagic run when the Jets beat you in overtime, on an Eric Decker touchdown. Beating New England is always something that was tough to do. Doing it during a playoff run was special.

Of course, Tom, you couldn’t let that stand. You and your teammates went on to beat the Jets the next eight times the teams played each other. Thinking about that is infuriating, let alone writing it.

You played in nine Super Bowls (so far). In all nine I rooted so hard for you to lose and you only did three times. I hated it. I hated watching the Super Bowl because I knew you were going to win. AGAIN!

More from Empire Writes Back

During the famous 28-3 comeback against the Atlanta Falcons in Super Bowl LI, I never doubted even for a second that you would come back. How could you not, with a nickname like “The Comeback Kid?” When it happened, everybody at the Super Bowl party I was at couldn’t believe it. I just sat there, absolutely silent. Eventually, I uttered the four words that I say every football season… I hate Tom Brady.

Tom, you have ruined football for New York Jets fans since you became Belichick’s starter in 2001. Thankfully you have ended my misery by leaving New England for sunny Tampa Bay.

It was not a pleasure watching you at all. I am really happy you are gone and I hope you go 0-16 this year with the Bucs. That being said in my eyes you truly are…The greatest quarterback to ever play the game.
