Honorable Mentions

Danny Amendola, Age 34 – Not exactly the star the Jets need but a guy that has proven he can be solid. He had 678 yards last season which is fifth-most among free agents. If Gang Green is looking for a guy who can be a reliable ball-catcher, Amendola is a nice fit.

Allen Lazard, Age 24 – A young receiver who was an option on the Packers in 2019. He had 477 yards and 13.6 yards per reception last year. Again not a star but Lazard is someone who maybe develops nicely for cheap.

5. Demarcus Robinson, Age 25

Demarcus Robinson is a little unproven but could be a nice pick up for the Jets. The Super Bowl Champion might want to stay with Kansas City but maybe he could be pried away. On a team that had several great receivers, last year he had 449 yards. The four-year NFL veteran could blossom in a situation where he has more opportunities.

While Adam Gase is no Andy Reid, Robinson would benefit by having more plays set up for him, in Gase’s complex offense. 2019 was his first year with double-digit starts and he made the most of it. A young guy with experience and a championship ring is exactly what NYJ should be looking for. While Robinson is not yet a star, he has the tools to develop into one.
