Honorable Mention

Aqib Talib, Miami Dolphins, 34 – There was a time when Talib was one of the best corners in the NFL. His best days have passed him by. If the G-Men were interested in him, it would be as a mentor to the younger CBs.

Trae Waynes, Minnesota Vikings, 28 – He is a solid corner who never lived up to his first-round potential (2015 – 11th overall). Waynes would still be a big upgrade over Grant Haley as the nickel back.

Logan Ryan, Tennessee Titans, 29 – Ryan has been a steady player throughout his career. No one is going confuse him with a top cover corner, but he won’t get toasted either. One thing is for certain, he will get nowhere near the three-year, $30M contract he signed with the Titans in 2016.

Bradley Roby, Houston Texans, 28 – The complete opposite of Logan Ryan, Roby has been incredibly inconsistent over his career. He signed a one-year contract for $9.5M before 2019 and played fairly well. Roby, like Ryan, won’t that much on his next contract.

5. Darqueze Dennard, Cincinnati Bengals, 28

Darqueze Dennard is a very good cornerback, its too bad few people have seen him play since he entered the league in 2014, because he’s spent so much time on the injured list. He’s only played in 77 of 96 possible games. Last season he missed the first six weeks but came back strong, making five starts.

In Dennard’s only full season, 2017, he had 85 tackles, two picks, and a pair of sacks. He’s more of a slot corner than a guy who will cover the opposition’s top receiver. Dennard is good in run support and isn’t afraid to come up and make a play. If the former Michigan State standout isn’t looking for a big bump from the $4.4M he made last year, he could help the G-Men.
