Giants 2020 two round Mock Draft compilation 2.0 – January
By Ed Stein
Round 2, 36th overall
There isn’t as much information about the following rounds. The deeper a mock draft goes the more of a guessing game it becomes. Different writers may have great internal sources, but there are so many variables in play that it makes predictions very difficult.
Needless to say with all the could happen in the 32 selections between the New York Giants first and second-round picks, a consensus is nearly impossible. Of the six mocks that go into the second round, only a single player came up twice. What seems to be a constant theme is defense, as five of them predict Big Blue will go that way. Among those appearing in the mocks are:
Julian Okwara, Edge, Notre Dame – 2
Cameron Dantzler, CB, Clemson – 1
Marlon Davidson, DL, Auburn – 1
Darrell Taylor, EDGE, Tennessee – 1
Brandon Aiyuk, WR, Arizona State – 1

The jury is divided on Okwara. Some draft experts think he is a first-round pick. Others aren’t as enamored. Until he broke his fibula in November, the Notre Dame captain was having a strong season for the Irish. That injury has dropped his standing in some of the mock drafts.
Those who haven’t dropped him believe the injury doesn’t take away from the fact that Okwara is a top pass rusher. He is an athletic 6-4, 245 pounds with high potential. Okwara will need to improve his consistency but will make an impact on opposing quarterbacks.
"Long, bendy edge rusher who immediately passes the eye test. Possesses all the physical tools you look for in a pass rusher. Has an explosive first step. Displays a blend of timing, technique, and power with his hands. Experienced at setting up offensive tackles with counter rush moves and an unpredictable attack. – Jonah Tulls, The Draft Network."
