Question 8: The NHL strip James Dolan of his ownership (yes/no).

This was my favorite question, due to the comments that came with it. There is no doubt Rangers fans loathe Dolan. Whether or not he should be removed is a different story.

Yes – 29.7 percent

It doesn’t matter if he stays away or not there is a vocal minority that wants Dolan gone.

“He shows zero interest in the team. His priorities lie with the more valuable Knicks franchise.” – Padma Rao

“Being CEO of MSG and team owner is a conflict of interest, IMO. I truly feel he’s a big part of why it is a corporate nightmare right now, with real fans unable to attend games. Something needs to change.” – Laura Llanos

No – 64.9 percent

The no votes come down to two things. First, there really aren’t sufficient grounds for the league to step in and remove Dolan. Second, as long as he doesn’t interfere with the New York Rangers operations, as he does with his baby, the New York Knicks, the fans will tolerate him.

“I’d like to see him sell the team, but he’s done nothing that would have the team taken from him” – Bob Wallace.

“Maybe of the Knicks. I feel as though the Rangers have a different kind of brain trust than just Dolan that may have found the right direction to go in.” – Edward Bruno

“James Dolan is a piece of (biological waste), but he keeps his hands off the team, so no, he can stay as long as he stays hands-off.” – Brian N Jodie Wilson
