I really like the New York Giants on Sunday, to both win and cover the 2.5 to 3-point spread. It probably means they are in real trouble. Big Blue’s defense has been porous so far this season but should be up to the task this week. Aside from Jamison Crowder, who Janoris Jenkins can handle one-on-one, the Jets passing attack is weak. That means the linebackers and safeties can play up and take away Le’Veon Bell.

On the other side of the ball, the Giants, believe it or not, have enough weapons to exploit Gang Green’s defense, even with Evan Engram out for the game. Additionally, the Jets are 29th in the NFL with 13 sacks and Leonard Williams is gone. Giants quarterback Daniel Jones should have the one thing he’s lacked the last few weeks, time in the pocket.

The Giants control the clock and wear down the Jets in the second half. Both Jones and running back Saquon Barkley will have big days. Final Giants 31, Jets 13.

A battle of two dumpster fires. Neither of these teams has even come close to meeting preseason expectations. Let’s be honest, they weren’t even that high. The only reason I give the Giants an edge in this game (besides someone has to win) is because of Saquon Barkley. Barkley is the best football player in New York and the only reason this game can be deemed watchable.

Leonard Williams will get to play his old team in his second game with Big Blue. I expect him to really push for a sack after all the talk came out that his production did not meet expectations. Giants 21, Jets 17.
