New York Knicks: 3 takeaways from the first two weeks of the new season

Final thoughts
Fizdale’s rotation changes are just the beginning of this new and exciting season. Once he settles on an eight-man rotation, we will see the true potential of this Knicks team. All it takes is time and effort, which has worked out for many other franchises.
The Knicks have shown us a glimpse of their identity during the first fifteen days of the regular season. Basing their identity on toughness can go a long way if they continue to push one another past their limits and exceed their expectations.
Unfortunately, sitting at 1-7 at the bottom of the NBA standings is in no shape or form exceeding expectations. The players who are exceeding expectations, however, are Barrett and Morris Sr. Both are heavily involved on both ends of the floor and will need help from Randle and Robinson for any chance of exceeding their seventeen-win mark of last season.
Since David Fizdale is known as a “players’ coach,” fostering great chemistry with his players has been his forte throughout his career. If the Knicks continue to grow (chemistry-wise) as a team and maintain their brotherhood during the season, then they would have the first ingredient to the recipe for success.
