The Bronx Bombers fizzled out in this year’s ALCS. Here are 10 fixes for New York Yankees General Manager Brian Cashman to shore up the team in 2020.

So the 2019 season ended with the team’s greatest strength coming up short. The New York Yankees bullpen, which should have played to the clubs strength, ended up leading to their demise. Take solace Bombers fans in the fact the team is young and primed for another October engagement next year.

Also, the Yankees assistant GM didn’t decide to scream at female reporters about how glad the team was to have picked up a closer accused of domestic violence… and he totally could have. They did, however, fire pitching coach, Larry Rothschild.

While it’s cold comfort right now, the team unearthed some possible diamonds in the rough through their injury-riddled season. Names like Gio Urshela, Cameron Maybin, Domingo German, and Mike Tauchman were not in many season previews, but they were huge contributors on the march to the ALCS.

With the return of so many talented players (and I guess…Greg Bird?) year, the club finds themselves with a glut of solid options and not many open roster spots. They may even have to give up on future star Tyler Wade.

As we look to 2020 the Yankees have several big decisions to make. Luckily, I am here to provide Obi-Wan-like guidance to Brian Cashman. Here are the moves he should be looking to make. Use the Force Luke, er Brian.
