Krueger finds the way

Ralph Krueger has come in and made significant changes. He has completely opened the offense up. The Sabres spread the ice with efficient long passes. Their main puck handlers dictate the pace of the game. Krueger trusts them to penetrate through the blue line and get the puck in front of the net with shots goal or with timely passes.

Buffalo’s power play is outstanding. Olofsson who broke a record with his first seven goals coming on seven power-play opportunities, an amazing feat. Watching the Sabres make teams pay consistently for penalties is a beautiful thing.

The Sabres suddenly look to be in every. They have a steadily look of improvement to them while rising to the play of tougher competition. The great thing about these Buffalo Sabres isn’t their scoring ability, which everyone knew they had potential to score in bunches with this young talent. It’s their defense that is consistently hustling back and setting up, showing the strength to clear people from out from the front of the net and the toughness to put people into the glass and to skate through would-be shooters and take the puck.

The Sabres have generated outstanding offensive flow and all these changes can be credited to good coaching. Their long clearing passes down the ice, and hustle has inspired fans to get energized on early breakaway opportunities.

If Krueger can continue to have his Buffalo Sabres play with this much energy and fire, he can turn the rest of the season into a nightmare on Elm street, for every opponent that steps on the ice against them.
