The New York Giants are traveling north to New England for a two-time Super Bowl rematch on Thursday night. The Giants come in with far less than championship caliber personnel but are looking to stay alive in the hunt for the NFC East lead.

The New York Giants are coming off a loss that many fans predicted would happen. This week, the odds are stacked even higher against them. Big Blue travels to Foxboro, Massachusetts to take on the defending Super Bowl champion New England Patriots (who are coming off a dominating win against the Washington Redskins).

Against the Vikings, the G-Men looked like Peewee Herman’s Playhouse. There was confusion abound on the offense. Additionally, no one had an answer for the Minnesota offense as Big Blue’s defense faltered. Adam Thielen scored two touchdowns and Dalvin Cook torched them for 218 total yards.

Last week was more of a learning experience than a meaningful game for Daniel Jones. It was the first time all year he played against a good defense. That game sets him up better this week against the Patriots, with a little more understanding of how to read great defenses.

Wayne Gallman went out of Sunday’s game in the first quarter with a concussion and was ruled out for Thursday night. It is reported that Saquon Barkley was listed as limited in practice this week. Head Coach Pat Shurmur wanted to give the “illusion” Barkley would play, but he was ruled out on Wednesday.

That means former Rutgers Scarlet Knight Jon Hilliman will get more carries this week. Can he provide a boost to a seemingly desperate Giants running back core? Or will they have to rely on the arm of Daniel Jones? Let’s find out in this week’s fantasy breakdown.
