Buffalo Bills Week 4 Fantasy start/ sit: Can Josh Allen keep it up?
The Buffalo Bills have been the surprise of the 2019 season so far. Can their fantasy stars Josh Allen and John Brown carry them past the New England Patriots?
New England Patriots (3-0) @ Buffalo Bills (3-0)
The biggest surprise of the 2019 season so far has not been Gardner Minshew‘s facial hair. Even though the “Mississippi Mustache” can be debated, it is not number one. The surprise comes from the upstate New York city of Buffalo. After three weeks, the Buffalo Bills have the same record as the Superbowl favorite New England Patriots.
When looking at the schedule, it is no surprise to see where the Bills are record-wise. The competition they have faced so far has been very lackluster. However, the way Buffalo earned their record is what comes as a shock.
Week 1 and Week 3 were games where the team came from behind at the end to pull out victories. That is something Buffalo Bills fans are not used to seeing in recent years. Quarterback Josh Allen is playing with much more self-control then he did last year. There are still some mistakes being made, but he has put up great fantasy numbers.
Above all of that, ageless wonder running back Frank Gore does not seem like he’s slowing down anytime soon. His career started when my career in second grade came to a close. The Bills have used a running back by committee, but there is something calming about Gore for Head Coach Sean McDermott. The Buffalo Bills can rely on the veteran when games on the line (see his Week 3 game-winning touchdown).
The defense is picking up where it left off last year and still has room to grow. Everything is looking up, on the eastern shores of Lake Erie. This week’s matchup against the Patriots will show who the Bills really are. Can they get to 4-0 and take over first place in the AFC East division? Can Josh Allen outduel Pats legend Tom Brady at home? Can the Buffalo Bills shock the NFL world?
Let’s see where some of the Buffalo Bills stars land in this weeks fantasy outlook.
