This is week three of our football predictions. Find out who we like in the New York Giants, New York Jets, Rutgers, and NFL Sunday Night Football games.

This season Empire Writes Back is running an internal contest predicting the games our readers are interested in. We will always have our takes on the New York GiantsNew York Jets, and Rutgers Scarlet Knights games for the upcoming weekend. Additionally, we add the Sunday Night NFL Game of the Week unless a local team is in it, then we’ll do Monday night.

Picking the games each week will be co-site expert Ed Stein, co-site expert Ed Easton Jr., a rotating member of the Empire Writes Back staff, and a special guest. You get each person’s outright winner of the game, consider anything else such as a score or spread as a bonus. We will keep track of the results and the winner gets the same points as they hand out on “Who’s Line is it Anyway.”

Last week Ed Stein, EWB Staff Member Zachary Bachar, and guest Connor Muldowney of Saturday Blitz went 3-1, while Ed Easton was 2-2, and Ed Stein was 2-1.

Standings through Week 2:

Guests 6-2

EWB Staff 6-2

Ed Easton 4-4

Ed Stein 4-4

Joining the Ed and Ed for the weekend of September 21-22 is our rotating Empire Writes Back staff member, Andrew Elderbaum. This week’s guest is our special guest, Jason Reed, Site Expert/Editor for one of our “cousins” L.A. Sports Hub.

On the docket for the weekend of September 21-22 is:

  • The New York Jets, with third-string quarterback Luke Falk leading the offense, are at New England.
  • Rookie Daniel Jones makes his first career start for the New York Giants this week at Tampa Bay.
  • Rutgers hosts Boston College.
  • Sunday Night, the Los Angeles Rams are at Cleveland.

Here is how our panel sees it:
