 3. Play like the season matters

Yes, the Daniel Jones train has left the station and everyone can’t wait for it to arrive at MetLife on a regular Sunday schedule. This doesn’t mean the Giants should speed up the process of his development. The New York Giants organization has to understand what they are doing and follow through with the plan they made before this season started.

Miami has pretty much told the National Football League they are rebuilding completely and you have no choice but to respect their all-in approach. The Giants are telling everyone that they are going to compete this year. They have to show that they can back up their talk if that’s the plan. Coaches have to hold players accountable as well as the players holding themselves accountable.

After the second quarter last week, the G-Men getting beat. By the end of the third quarter against Dallas, they were defeated to the point of stumbling around the ring like an outclassed fighter. Against Buffalo, they should never feel like they have been knocked out of the game. Defensive adjustments have to be made. If they don’t come from the sidelines then the defensive captains have to make them on the field.

New York Giants fans are tired of hearing Gettleman talk and are now looking for actions. It’s time to show a competitive, disciplined, consistent approach that outworks the Bills this weekend. If they can do these simple three things they will walk away with the victory from Sunday’s game.
