Buffalo at New York Giants

Zachary Bachar

When the New York Giants take on the Buffalo Bills this Sunday, they’ll need a lot of players to step up it up  win. This starts with the defense, who failed to record a sack or interception in Week 1.

The Bills offensive line is much worse than the Cowboys, however. The Giants front seven needs to pressure quarterback Josh Allen early and often. With wide receiver Sterling Shepard recovering from a possible concussion I don’t see the Giants winning this one, final score 20-17 Bills.

This is a game I had the New York Giants winning before the season began. Although the G-Men didn’t do much to justify my faith in them at Dallas last week. Speaking of last week, Buffalo had an impressive post-Mosely comeback against the Jets to win 17-16. The Bills would appear to the team to beat here.

Big Blue, however, can exploit some matchup advantages they have to pull out a win. The Giants should be able to stop Buffalo’s run game. Cornerback Janoris Jenkins should be able to contain Bills deep threat, John Brown. The rest of the defense then has two goals, limit Cole Beasley and get to QB Josh Allen.

Although NYG is very short-handed at wide receiver, they still have tight end, Evan Engram. Between his physical advantages and the constant pounding by Saquon Barkley, the WR injuries might not be as big of a factor. Manning will be efficient under center and the Giants even their record to 1-1.

Buffalo shocked the Jets last week in New York but I just don’t think the same will happen against the Giants, even though this, too, is an extremely winnable game. I think Josh Allen just makes too many mistakes early in the game and the Bills are forced to play catch-up once again. Plus, facing another all-world back in Saquon Barkley is going to wear down the defense while Eli Manning keeps his surprisingly solid start to the season alive. I’m going with the Giants here in a close, yet ugly, contest. Final Score: Bills 17, Giants 23

Ed Easton

Big Blue will rebound from last week’s defensive disaster and hold Buffalo quarterback Josh Allen at bey. The Bills will give Eli Manning problems throughout the game but the16 year veteran will make enough plays to seal a close victory. Saquon Barkley should have a good game catching check-downs all day while scoring from the goal line. Giants Win
