I predict the New York Giants will win 8 games.

Here is the worst-case scenario for the Giants. Big Blue has made the conscious effort to let Eli Manning know this is still his team. Manning might be a serviceable quarterback for a team that can protect a quarterback and a defense that will keep opposing offenses off the field, for the majority of the game.

That is not the Giants. The G-Men have their future waiting on the sideline. Daniel Jones showed in preseason he can play much better than many of us thought. Yes, it’s just preseason, but if the Giants want to see if this is the leader of the future the change would’ve been made.

Like I mentioned before, Eli is still capable of winning games and there are definitely games the Giants should win. That’s the problem. The Giants will win half of their games which is an improvement from last season, but still not a winning record and definitely still not in the playoffs. Manning will start every game this season because the team has shown it’s still not ready to make the switch.

Jones will come in for blowout games and we’ll still never really see if he’s capable of leading this team. The G-Men will find themselves in the exact same position as it is now with two quarterbacks, one of their past and one of their future. Then we will have to hear the same storylines all next offseason.
