Brooklyn Nets: 3 Goals for Kyrie Irving in the 2019-2020 Season
Lead the Nets to a better record than last year
The Brooklyn Nets signed many new faces outside of Irving and Durant including DeAndre Jordan, Wilson Chandler, and Garrett Temple. However, they also lost a lot of solid players like DeMarre Carroll, Ed Davis, Jared Dudley, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson and obviously Russell.

This roster turnover makes it hard to determine just how good the Nets will be in the 2019-2020 season. It’s up to Kyrie Irving to take the team as far as they can possibly go. While the Nets likely won’t win the Eastern Conference due to the presence of star-studded teams like the Milwaukee Bucks and Philadelphia 76ers, they should definitely expect to make the postseason again.
Last year’s 42-40 record should be a benchmark for this season’s Nets squad. If they can beat that record as well as winning a playoff series or two, this year should be considered a success. Irving was a huge part in the Boston Celtics winning an average of 52 games during his two seasons with the team. Hopefully, he can have the same impact in Brooklyn.
The Nets had arguably the NBA’s best offseason. Although one of their two marquee free-agent signings won’t see the court in 2019, the other one could take over the city. Kyrie Irving is in a prime position to show why he’s one of the best point guards in the league, and he’s hopefully going to do so this year.
