Noah Syndergaard

This one hurts, I will admit it, but it is now or never to pull this trigger. Noah Syndergaard has been a fan favorite with the Mets since 2015, but there are no signs of keeping him for the long run if they will not be contending. With Syndergaards success he has had with the Mets, and his young age, he could pull a lot of young, talented prospects over to the Mets to have a foundation to build on. I believe the perfect fit for Syndergaard would be for the San Diego Padres, who have one oft he best farm systems in the MLB and they can give away a few prospects to land a guy like Noah Syndergaard. Overall, Syndergaard has himself an ERA of 3.23 in 104 total games. Although he has had a down year, with four wins and six losses, and an ERA of 4.68, it should not be looked past how good of a pitcher he is, and how important he has been for the Mets.

The Mets will have their share of options heading into the trade deadline and will need to do their due diligence to maneuver the correct deal. The clock is ticking and these next few days will give fas a better outlook of the franchise’s immediate future.
