After a ton of speculation over the past few weeks, Kyrie Irving is officially a member of the Brooklyn Nets.

Kyrie Irving is one of the premier free agents in this year’s offseason and he has officially made his decision. Kyrie Irving and the Brooklyn Nets have agreed to a four-year $141 million deal making the six-time All-Star, two-time All-NBA team member and NBA Champ, Kyrie Irving a Brooklyn Net for the next four years.

Irving is a top-five point guard in the NBA and now the Nets will be getting someone who holds a ton of experience, to help them get through the East and hopefully into the NBA Finals.

Last year the Nets made the playoffs for the first time since the 2014-15 season and with Irving, they have a much better chance of getting past the first round where they lost in five games this past season.

D’Angelo Russell was a large reason why the Nets were so successful in 2018-19, but now that the Nets have reeled in Irving, Russell will be an unrestricted free agent and the Nets will reportedly work with Russell to help find him a new destination via a sign-and-trade should that be needed.

However, not only did the Nets manage to bring in Kyrie Irving, but they also reeled in Kevin Durant making the Nets the most talented team in the East and arguably the most talented team in the NBA.

Unfortunately, Durant will miss the 2019-20 season due to an achilles injury, but once he is back the Nets will be Finals contenders for years to come.

Here is what the Nets lineup may look like once Durant is healthy:

PG: Kyrie Irving

SG: Joe Harris

SF: Caris LeVert

PF: Kevin Durant

C: DeAndre Jordan

This lineup obviously has someone else the Nets did not have in 2018-19, DeAndre Jordan. In addition to Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant, the Nets managed to sign center, DeAndre Jordan.

Only two seasons ago Jordan was considered one of the best centers in the league and he still has a ton of talent and will provide the Nets with some additional size that will help the Nets win a lot of games.

June 30th will go down as the best night in Brooklyn Nets history as it will give them one of the most talented lineups in the NBA.

Kyrie Irving is officially home and is a Brooklyn Net and with that comes many opportunities and the Nets are in better position than they have been in years to make a run at an NBA Championship.
