It’s been a few months since the football world was shocked by the New York Giants trading away star receiver Odell Beckham Jr, and he still has plenty to say about it.

The New York Giants franchise is going through a full rebuild after the hiring of general manager Dave Gettleman to tear apart the team’s anterior nucleus essentially. The most significant piece sent out of town was Pro Bowl wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr, via a trade with the Cleveland Browns in March. The controversial decision has been met with many critics of the Giants executive and to plenty of fingers being pointed at Beckham Jr.

The talented wideout has never been shy to voice his opinion on tea issues while in New York was often the blame for some chemistry problems. The tension early last season stemmed from the former LSU standout expressing his unhappiness in the offense and inadvertently taking shots at quarterback Eli Manning. Other notable past altercations involved Josh Norman and a kicking net to name a few, but it appears those quarrels have been squashed.

The trade that sent OBJ to Cleveland reunites him with fellow LSU Tigers star Jarvis Landry forming an incredible tandem on paper. The emergence of quarterback Baker Mayfield mixed in with several other weapons on defense have Browns fans thinking big heading into the new season. All these factors in play for Beckham Jr, but still the Giants trade controversy continues to pop up in his interviews.

The most recent form of Giants slander came during an interview with Complex magazine where the Browns wideout discussed being very unhappy in New York.

"“I just felt with the Giants I was just stuck at a place that wasn’t working for me anymore. I felt like I wasn’t going to be able to reach my full potential there; mentally, physically, spiritually, everything I felt capable of doing, I just couldn’t see it happening there,” he said, before getting into his plans. “I feel like my football will benefit. I’m just excited about being able to play football again and not have to deal with all the other stuff and politics that came with my previous role.”"

After many Giants fans read this article with expected anger and vengeance, OBJ quickly addressed the interview trying to make peace with the situation in a twitter rant last Saturday.

Next. Daniel Jones needs to use criticism as motivation. dark

The Giants don’t play Cleveland this season, and the only time both paths would meet would be in the Super Bowl. As unlikely as that is to happen considering New York’s rebuilding status, it is a fun thought probably for a video game.
